Shoetastic - ECCO

If you haven't heard of ECCO already, they are a fashionable shoe brand who specialise in comfort as well as style. In fact they take pride in suggesting that the shoe follows the foot! I was lucky enough to trial their new "sculptured 65" shoe which is a patent leather boot with a manageable heel of 6.5cm (perfect for people like me who aren't gifted with lovely long legs!) I decided to wear these out last night for date night with a friend and paired them with a casual outfit. Although I really felt like the shoes really added an edge to my outfit, adding not only height, but glamour and sophistication too. These are a really versatile and "grown up" pair of shoes which make me feel sensible and mature.
As I said, I wore these little cuties out last night and they are such a dream to wear! Not only do they seem to go with pretty much anything, but they really are so comfortable with a soft textile lining which contains a leather inlay sole and a moisture absorbent circulation system for maximum comfort. Being so short means that I like to wear heels a lot of the time, but with the  angle that your foot is at, it can be really uncomfortable at times and I also really struggle to drive in heels. However I can say that these are something else! When I was busy rushing around Bristol yesterday, the last thing I was thinking of were my feet, and as for driving - no problem at all!
As you can see, I paired these boots with a casual outfit of a grey speckled t-shirt and leather lookalike skirt simply because the weather has been so dreary recently, I've felt like wearing darker colours. Despite the weather, these boots feel so durable and I can tell they'll be a staple throughout the autumn and winter months. And, as I said before they can be paired with pretty much anything because they're so versatile. Here are a couple more outfit ideas centered around the boots..
Outfit One: Jeans - Topshop, Beanie - Topshop, Jacket - New Look, Top - Miss Selfridge
Outfit Two: Top - Topshop, Skirt - River Island, Watch - River Island, Bag - River Island, Necklace - Temporary Secretary
Outfit Three: Dress - Glamourous UK, Earrings - Asos, Clutch - Miss Selfridge
How would you wear the Sculptured 65 shoe?

Strawberry Sorbet

I thought i'd share with you my most recent wishlist, these things are never ending!

1. Firstly, i saw this bralet on the Topshop website, because i am always on the topshop website! I swear in every wishlist i include topshop clothing - not good! Anyway, this isn't exactly a spring/summer piece but it is so me, i just love it. I think it would look really nice with a long black maxi or little denim shorts.
2. It's my year 13 prom next month and i have a dress sorted, but i'm looking for gold accessories to spruce it up a bit, including jewellery, a belt, shoes and a little clutch bag. I think this/these earrings would look so cute if i have my hair back. I also can't believe they're only £4! But if anyone see's any cute gold metallic shoes/bag - let me know! I'm finding it difficult to find things that don't look cheap and tacky.
3. Following on from my search for the perfect prom jewellery, i found this beautiful necklace that would look amazing with my dress from a place called Sheinside. Unfortunately, i've heard that shipping can take a long long time so i don't want to take any risks with it not arriving in time. Nonetheless it's a lovely necklace!
4. I have been wanting to get my hands on these eos lip balms for so long now. I know there have cropped up some places online that sell them for about £5/6 i just need to get around to purchasing them, but i really want to try the strawberry sorbet flavour and the minty flavour. I absolutely love the packaging, i think they're genius.
5. Also beauty related, i'm thinking of re-dip dying my hair with pink on the tips, so to try it out, i really want to get the Kevin Murphey Colour Bug hair shadow in pink. I just think these look so cute, and they would give me a good indication as to whether i want permanent pink hair or just temporary for fun! I've only seen these on amazon, if anyone knows anywhere else you can get these, will you please let me know? Haven't had the best experience with amazon lately.
6. Finally, another Topshop wish, but can you blame me!? This skirt is just so flipping lovely, the colours are so dreamy and the cut, just perfect for spring! Yeah i don't really see myself wearing this all that often which is why i haven't bought it, but it really is one of those items you dream of because it looks so lovely.
What's on your wishlist at the moment?

Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall Cribbs Causeway

So as you all probably know, my Friday evening consisted of fashionista fun and meeting some really sweet bloggers down at Bristol Fashion Week. This is what i ended up wearing, thanks to everyone who helped in my last post!
See what the other bloggers wore here and please like your favourite outfits!
So I attended the event with my friend Grace and we headed down a little early to have a gander around the mall. I managed to get my hands on a sample of the new Chanel vitalumiere aqua foundation and the Estee Lauder foundation as well as 3 of the Revlon lip butters! I bought the shades Cupcake, Lollipop and Berry Smoothie and I'm not going to go into detail about these because i know so many other bloggers have and i agree with them, so if you want an in depth review you can have a lookie at this post.
Anywho, after a wander around, we headed down to the pavilion to collect out bloggers passes and meet up with Millie and Vicky (They're so cute, please look at their blogs!) And we headed into the show! We were greeted with a beautiful array of French fancies (yum!) and pink fizz wine. After a munch, we were able to take our seats on either side of the runway.

The show began with a candy cane heaven, bringing mouth watering ice cream shades and pastels to the runway. I couldn't believe these were fashions from John Lewis because I don't shop there for clothes, yet they seemed relateable and wearable. The models reminded me of dolly's! In scene 2 we caught a glimpse of some hawwwt half naked men showing off luxe sportswear from JD sports. This was inspired by the upcoming 2012 Olympics.
(Photo's belong to the Mall Cribbs Causeway)
Next, scene 3 was inspired by the romantic city of Paris including fashions from Hobbs with menswear from River Island and designer bags from Radley.

Scene 4 was a collection of tribal inspired prints including lots of aztec and a mixture of both maxi skirts and shorts. I love all the tribal inspired gold bangles! And i couldn't believe these fashions were from M&S and the jewellery from Clive Ranger. The next scene was a light hearted and fun collection of beach wear, i particularly loved the denim playsuits and plan to whip these out in when it gets a tad bit warmer! The clothing from this scene was from animal and the accessories from Claire's.
(Photo's belong to the Mall Cribbs Causeway)
Scene 6 brought us fashions from Evans and BHS and included a flirty 1950's prom style and i have to say, in this scene the younger children models looked so flipping cute! The dresses weren't really my thing though. And next we had a Latin treat with fashions from Oasis and menswear from M&S. The Latin fashions tended to be floral and tropical prints full of vibrant colours and energy.

I really enjoyed the next two scenes, i thought the decadent fashions from Miss Selfridge were absolutely stunning with a beautiful array of nude chiffons which looked totally glamorous and very 1920's at points. My all time favourite scene was the festival theme in scene 9 because i absolutely love the style! The leather shorts are something i wish i could pull of, but i just adore how laid back and grungy the fashions are.
(Photo's belong to the Mall Cribbs Causeway)
This is a continuation of the festival scene because i laaaave it so much! These clothes were from USC, H&M and BHS. Seriously though, look at those adorable stripy dungarees! I want!

With a couple of scenes left to go, scene ten jumped back to a very clean, tweed chanel inspired feel with fashions from Jigsaw and River Island. After this there was a John Lewis nautical scene, inspired by sea life. I adore the yellow and green shift dress pictured above!
(Photo's belong to the Mall Cribbs Causeway)
Next, there were even more fashions from M&S representing the sound of spring. I would say the theme for this scene was a sharp classic 1920's garden party including lots of whites and pale colours. Finally, a red, white and blue jubilee celebration presented the grand finale of Bristol Fashion Week which included clothing from various stores throughout the mall.
So all in all, it was a fab show and i want to thank the Mall Cribbs Causeway for having us and Gina for inviting us! I seriously hope there will be a bloggers invite for next season because i will definitely be there!
What's your favourite trend for the upcoming Spring/Summer?

Christmas is only 360 days away: Part 2

Christmas Day: What I Wore.
Dress: Birthday gift from Mum
Cardigan: Miss Selfridge
Necklace: Gift from Grace
Tights: HOH
Shoes: Ebay (Gift, see below)
Bag: Ebay

I love getting all dressed up on Christmas day, i know lots of people like to stay in thier PJ's, but i usually have many families to visit. So following my stocking post, i thought i'd share the main presents I received this Christmas. I know this is a little late and people are getting bored of Christmas posts now so this is my last Christmas-related post (Caution: Picture heavy.)
(Tights including stockings, suspender tights and french seamed. Lots and lots of chocolate. New shoes as seen in what i wore. Lots of make up from the Body Shop including "the sparkler." Books, mugs and an air freshener from my car. My new beloved Mac lipstick.)
One of my favourite gifts I received this year was the much coveted naked palette from Urban Decay. Alongside this, he also bought me a beautiful lipstick from MAC in frost.
My brother bought me this lovely satchel which i believe was found in a charity shop. It's real leather and a gorgeous rich brown colour. It probably doesn't look terribly big in the picture but it's quite massive in real life. I think i may adjust the strap aswell because it's very long at the moment.
My dad really surprised me with this lovely winter coat from Topshop. Its got a lovely fur lining and is so snuggly and warm! Perfect for this season - so thanks dad!
Mum bought me this lovely hand knitted cardigan for days at home when i need something to snuggle up to.
Finally I thought i'd share with you the latest addition to the family who joined us on Christmas day. Ozzie is a new buddy for my dad who lives alone and this little kitten is so adorable and friendly!
Apologies for the mass-post!
I can't believe it's NYE tomorrow - What are your plans? I'm just going to stick to my local High Street with some good friends. I have scheduled a quick post for tomorrow so keep a look out for that. Just quickly though, I do want to say a big thank you to all the support i've gained through my blog this year, I've had the best time starting up this little space of mine on the internet.
Much love to you all xoxo

The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer, is Singing Loud for all to Hear!

Seeing as Santa Clause is coming to town tonight, I thought i'd wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope you all get everything you wish for and relax and enjoy this wonderful holiday season. I thought i'd also share a few pictures of Christmas in my home this year.
I had my friends, Grace and Alley over last night for a pre-Christmas dinner. I wore a Miss Selfridge dress that I found in the sale of the limited edition range for £25 a couple of months back. It has beautiful draping sleeves and pink embroidery around the hems.
Presents! Grace received (pictured left) Some yummy chocolates, hair wax and creme brulee vasaline from Alley and some cute hair accessories from me. I received (pictured right) some yummy chocolates, Collection 2000 Cream Puff in Fairy Cake (post to follow), Rimmel London Scandeleyes Mascara in 001 and Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Varnish in Deep Mauve and i was over the moon with my gifts! Alley received a delicious bottle of white wine which was glugged all evening and a Ted Baker Bath and Body set.
As you can probably tell, too much wine and Buck's Fizz was drunk, but we had a jolly evening munching on chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes and vegetables. For desert we polished off a lovely chocolate cheesecake that Grace kindly made for us.
I sincerely hope you all have a marvellous day tomorrow and I can't wait to see you all posting about what you got! Merry Christmas, much love xxxxx

Christmas Blogger Party

I can't believe it's taken this long for me to write up a post about Fridays Christmas blogger meet up in Java, Bristol. This weekend has been hectic with work, other Christmas parties, putting up the Christmas decorations etc.. You guys know how it is.
Anywho, as many of you know, boohoo and MyStreetChic brought us all together putting on a wonderful event with amazing goodybags, free cocktails and a stunning fashion show. I was gutted because the event was obviously held in my home town and usually it takes about half an hour to get to Java. But i miscalculated timings, and traffic was horrendous so i ended up being an hour late! Booo :( I felt awful, especially as a lot of the girls there had travelled from all over the country and still managed to get there on time! Anyway, enough complaining, here's some photo's of the night for you guys to enjoy. I didn't actually take any photo's at the event, so most of these are courtesy of MyStreetChic's facebook page!
So i'll quickly run through what I wore on the night. It's nothing i haven't featured before actually. I really wanted to wear a new dress i bought from Miss Selfridge's limited edition range a little while back, but I just felt it was too summery, so instead I wore:
Pearl Bralet - Yayer
Leather Lookalike Skirt - €9.99 Shana
Leather Lookalike Jacket - £5 from Tenovus, but originally H&M
Wedges - £9.99 Ebay
Necklace - £4 Clothes Show Live
Bag - £4 Tenovus
Cross Ring - £5 (gone up to £8 now) Love Hearts and Crosses
Other Ring - JWLRY
Molly and I
Thanks to Steph for this one :)
These photo's are courtesy of MyStreetChic - This blue polkadot playsuit was by far my favourite piece in the Boohoo collection.
You can view all of the pictures from the night here.
These are also some other posts from the night if you're interested: Steph Bee Lyzi Gem Annabel Dani Kim Joseph

On another note, the goodybags were amazing! I am so happy with my new lipgloss from beautycycle, it lights up and has a mirror on the side of the case so it's perfect to take on a night out! And the macadamia oil is such a treat to use as well. Did anyone else get a self heating cup of coffee instead of dry shampoo?! I was slightly disappointed with that i have to say!

A big thank you to Boohoo and MyStreetChic for holding such a super, successful evening.
