RedHead

Jumper - New Look
Shirt - Quiz (Old)
Necklace - H&M
Jeans - New Look
Boots - Peacocks (Old)
Notice anything different? Yes, i am now a red head. I decided to change my hair a little for the autumn/winter, sometimes I think it's nice to have a change and not get stuck into a routine. Plus i was in drastic need of doing something to my hair because before it was so damaged. I used to have red hair before I started my blog and since changing back, i remember how much i loved it! I think it looks quite feisty and vibrant without looking too unnatural for work. Also, i love treating myself to a hair cut now and then - is it me or is it totally expensive these days to get it done in a salon?! Luckily my friend introduced me to her mobile hairdresser who was able to do this for me at late notice and a very good price, so a big thank you to her! If you live in the Bristol area and are looking for a good hairdresser, she is absolutely amazing so drop me a message and i'll pass on her details to you.
This is what I wore just as a casual outfit on my day off this week. I just went for a browse around in New Look and found this jeans at a discounted price and I really love wearing coloured jeans so I picked those up. The colour actually matched my hair quite well! I also picked up a dark red jumper but it's a bit much wearing the jeans, jumper and the hair! So i chose to team it with this waffle knit jumper which i actually bought last A/W and still totally love.
I also love the whole "collar peeping out" trend so i added a collar style necklace and it gave the look a pretty preppy edge. Finally I added these boots which i forgot I owned! Don't you love it when that happens? Rediscovering an old love... So I've been wearing them at every opportunity and they're such a lovely height, especially for a girl like me who needs to wear heels to feel normal! I can actually drive in these which is a bonus.
My favourite lip product of the month seems to be the collection 2000 creme puff in "fairy cake" which i'm wearing in these photo's. I think i'm obsessed with the colour more than anything, I always feel super pale in the autumn/winter so i love having bright lips to add warmth and colour to my face.
In other news, I may have splurged and treated myself to a new Xbox which i've totally been addicted to this week - if you have any game recommendations then let me know! But at the moment i'm playing a lot of fallout and just dance!
What do you think of my new hair colour? Do you like to have a change sometimes?

Malice in Wonderland

Just a quick one today, I know i'm a day late with the Halloween celebrations, but i just had to show you guys my efforts this year. I wasn't able to properly celebrate Halloween as i was stuck behind a bar, but it's always fun to dress up and see all the Trick or Treaters! I was really pleased with how my outfit turned out this year, especially the scary make up! So this is me as Malice in Wonderland: Zombie style.
Jenny, Me and Milly.
Working in a popular nightclub in Bristol means that i had to go all out! We had two crazy jam packed nights with 10ft spiders, creepy music and lots of costume variations! I absolutely love Halloween so i was very excited! I got my dress from Ebay and it came with a petticoat and headband which was quite good. I added a bit extra fake blood and watched many YouTube tutorials to learn how to do the make up. I also put curls in my hair thinking it was quite Alice in Wonderland-esq.
What do you guys think? What did you dress as for Halloween?

Bristol Fashion Week: BFW12

As the summer fades into crisper weather and autumn approaches, it can only mean one thing. A new season and new fashions! A couple of weeks ago i headed down to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway for Bristol Fashion Week, some of you may have seen my tweets. I was very lucky to attend as a blogger and meet up with some other lovely bloggers where we received a champagne reception and some jam-packed goodie bags after the show.
The show itself was inspiring and a lot of fun as it always is. What i really love about Bristol Fashion Week is that they include a wide range of models from all ages and sizes and they make it very engaging. All the models are smiling and dancing around as if they are really enjoying it which makes it a lot more entertaining to watch. Plus there were some very attractive models this season!
What I wore: Top - Bottom
Hat - Forever 21 (I've been living in this lately!)
Cut out stripy top - Forever 21
3 Chain necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Belt - Primark
Bag - Ebay
Black Maxi Skirt - Topshop
Gold bow flats - Forever 21
Other lovely bloggers: Amie, Milly, Me, Tara and Vicky
Thank you to Kim for the photos.. Now onto the show!
Delicious and sparkly reception - I loved all the fairy lights!
The show kicked off with a museum styled theme with fashions from Marks and Spencer and jewellery from Accessorize. It was all very glittery and sparkly, but very tailored with suits and fancy jewels. As you can see, the autumnal colours have hit the runway with warmer shades of plums and browns.
There were also fashions from New Look and menswear from Burton and children's clothing from Next. As you can see, in this scene the guys came out on roller skates - this is what i mean about the show being a lot of fun to watch! This scene was based around street style so there was a lot of slogan t-shirts and the cross print seemed to be very popular too.
We also saw fashions from Phase Eight and Austin Reed with shoes from Jones Bootmaker. Now i've never shopped with Phase Eight before, their clothing is a little too mature for me but i really loved their elegance and how chic all the clothing was. It seems that the colour emerald green is popular with them for the fall as it cropped up everywhere including the dress above.
Next up we had quite an oriental little scene. Now floral prints are typically worn through spring/summer but this season they are expected to be popular too, just in darker colours and a more sophisticated print. Above is John Lewis' take on the fashion.
Another fun scene was fashions from Fat Face, children's wear from John Lewis.. and the disney store of all places! I really like fat face, not the price tag, but the quality of clothing is lovely.. so comfortable and perfect for layering. Bristol Fashion Week took a western style approach to their fashions but i absolutely love the boots styled with jeans and skirts. Next on my wishlist is definitely a pair of knee high boots!
We were told in the show that purple is going to be a really popular colour this season, a "cadbury" purple to be exact. This was seen on the runway with some gorgeous evening wear from Coast, menswear from River Island and some very sparkling footwear from Dune.
Another collection from M&S was up next with footwear from Clarks and jewellery from Ernest Jones. This scene also presented us with really pretty autumnal shades that complimented the heritage theme. It all felt very vintage and reminded me of the new John Lewis advert!
*All photo's are credit to The Mall Cribbs Causeway
In the finale we saw the theme of a Venician ball take place which included fashions from various retailers at the mall. The key colours here tended to be black and gold which reminded me a lot of a New Years party in the winter. I also noticed a lot of velvet which may become a key trend in the months to come!
Overall I really enjoyed the show and i'd like to thank The Mall at Cribbs Causeway for having me. I can't wait to layer up my clothing for the autumn/winter and accessorise with woolly scarves and winter hats.

Wishlist: Penny Talk

1.2.3.4.5.6.7
1. My mum bought me a similar variation of this bracelet in a chrome-ish colour and i've found that i'm wearing it to death! With the recent rose-gold hype, i think this bracelet would go with anything! Badass.
2. I saw Jennie wearing a variation of this dress on her blog and i just thought it looked super flattering, great for everyday wear as well as dressing up a little. Sometimes the simplest of things can look the nicest!
3. After searching high and low for some new dresses to wear out to town, i stumbled across this on the missguided website and i just love the stud detailing! Not sure how well this would stay up though, it does look a little flimsy! Missguided prices tend to be so reasonable it's hard to resist splurging.
4. So, one of my random lusts this month are the White Fudge Flipz, i received an exciting box of goodies from cybercandy this week and now i pretty much want to try everything on their website! These look like they taste so delicious!
5. I'm pretty bad when it comes to biting my nails, but lately i've been really good and kept them in a really good condition.. which just gives me the excuse to buy more nail polish! I know the famous Essie polish is Mint Candy Apple, but i really love this colour which is "Penny Talk" I think it's a really wearable colour, but girly and feminine at the same time.
6. I really need a new fragrance seeing as my Loverdose recently ran out (sob sob!) but i loved the scent still, so my friend recommended blackXS by Paco Robanne which is similar because it's got that sweet, but musky smell to it, and it's much cheaper than splurging on Miss Dior Cherie! I wish.
7. Finally, i've been lusting after these adorable skull bracelets that are everywhere right now. Topshop do some pretty awesome ones, but i find that ebay is the place to go for cheaper variations and i love the pastel colours as they make them look more girly.
What's on your wishlist? I'm going away on a Tipi Adventure holiday so things may be a little quieter around here for a while, i'll update you when i get home!

Zuzi Zuzi: April Wishlist

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter Break, i've come home from Centre Parcs feeling pretty broke but it was a lovely weekend, so I can't complain. With no money to spare, i'm seriously wishing for some of these beauties.
(1.2.3.4.5.6)
1. First up, I want to try Bioderma, mainly because everyone's raving about it, but also because i would like to find an easy alternative to the boots face wipes I'm currently using. I'm not sure how i feel about spending £15 on make up remover though and how long it will last, so if you've tried this can you let me know your thoughts?
2. How pretty is this cosmic print dress from New Look? It's a real shame they only do this is sizes 14+ at the moment, because i just love the colours. I'm trying to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe at the moment as i tend to wear a lot of black and white so this is perfect.
3. Bandeau tops. What a genius idea. I wear a lot of sheer shirts and blouses so I'm really loving the idea of these at the moment. I also really like the way they look with the racer back tops and i think that would look really nice for summer. You can get these for £2.99 on eBay in loads of different patterns and colours.
4. I don't really have any good make up brushes, just unbranded ones that work fine but they're not particularly easy to use and they don't give me the finish that i really want, so i'd like to try the Real Techniques brushes and the core collection looks like a good way to start. Also, this would be such a nice gift to give to someone, don't you think?
5. I went shopping last week in town and in Primark i saw some flatforms for £14 - I wanted them so badly but my bank balance disagrees with me at the moment. I think the idea of flatforms is amazing, because they are so easy to wear on a daily basis (I've found a heel i can drive in!) and being a tiny 5ft, this is important for me. Maybe on next months pay check i'll reconsider purchasing.
6. Finally I've been on a bit of a perfume craze lately. I popped into boots a little while back and the lady on the Dior counter spritzed me with the Miss Dior Cherie, and since them I've wanted to go and buy it. It's such a lovely light, fresh feminine scent and it made me feel really grown up. My birthday's a little while away, but I think this will be on my list.
Hope you all had a lovely Easter break, What's on your wishlist at the moment?

UCAS/University Update.

Sorry it's been so long since my last post, however my Textiles final piece has literally sucked up my entire life for the past couple of weeks, making it really hard to find time to post, and also to find things to post about! I did finish it today though and i'm soooo happy it's over with, plus i think it looks pretty good - let me know if you're interested in seeing it and i'll put up a few pictures.

I thought i'd do a bit about my UCAS/Uni application process so far today. Back in December, i applied through UCAS to do fashion buying and merchandising/marketing at London College of Fashion, Westminster University, De Monfort University and London Metropolitan University. The first to reply was De Monfort and I had my interview with them yesterday so now i'm waiting to hear back from them. I really love the uni itself because the facilities and campus look great and it has a friendly atmosphere, however im unsure that the course is suitable for me as it seems very design based. I then heard back from London Met with a conditional offer for 240 UCAS points. I think this is going to be just a safe last resort option as living in London would be way expensive! Westminster offered me an interview last month which went well and i now have a conditional from them which is BBC. I loved thier course but i'm not sure if the uni is really right for me. Finally, i'm still anticipating to hear back from LCF, they phoned today but i missed the call, AHHH!

If you follow me on twitter (@kfh34163) you'll know recently i've been panicking as to what i should wear to my university interviews. Now i know most people if their applying for medicine or law etc wear a smart clean suit, pretty boring right? But because i'm applying for Fashion Buying, i feel like it's really important to not only look smart, but fashionable.. hence my dilemma!
At Westminster, i found the applicants with me wore very smart clothing which at the same time was fashionable and on trend. A couple of girls wore jeans, but the majority wore a smart black skirt or trousers. Whereas at De Monfort yesterday, i again dressed fairly smartly and found the majority were in casual wear so i'm still feeling fairly confused! But below i've put together the sorts of outfits that i think are suitable for a Uni interview.

Blouse: New Look
Blazer: New Look
Bag: Ebay
Shoes: Ebay
Trousers: Next

This is exactly what i wore, except i wore my JWLRY rings instead and the blouse had sleeves and a pleated collar. I really love the blazer because it added a lovely block of colour to an otherwise monochrome outfit. I also added a big gold button on the blazer to add personality.
Anyway, i hope this helps. It's sort of my "What to wear to a uni interview guide!"

Hope you're all well, xxx

Rams

I wasn't sure whether to upload these or not because as you can see, the picture quality is very poor! Normally i would also take my photo's outside but by the time i was ready to go out, it was really dark so my kitchen had to do as a background! I went out last night to town with a couple of friends and we hit a couple of clubs which was really fun and we met some pretty cool people too. All in all (what i can remember) it was a really good night and the club we went to had a really good selection of music to boogie on down to! It's a shame because it got far too busy and crowded though but hey ho! I wore my new velvet Topshop skater dress which i picked up the sale a couple of weeks ago (£18 i think?) and this is such a cute little versatile dress, you can wear it with anything. Because it was cold, i teamed it with my trusty leather jacket and suspender tights with platforms!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend xxx

Silver Sand

Blouse - New Look £9 (sale)
Maxi - Topshop £20 (sale)
Shoes - Ebay £12ish
Rings - JWLRY
Jacket - Tenovus £5
Earrings - Topshop £2.50 (sale)

So i've been fairly absent from the blogging world this week, and that would be down to the dreaded January exams. I've been revising and working like a crazy person, and i still don't feel prepared. I have a Sociology - Power and Control paper on Monday and then an English (2 1/2 hour!!) paper on Tuesday and both are equally important, so it's quite hard to balance my revision. Following that, Wednesday is my interview for the fashion buying course at Westminster Uni, and i am SO nervous about that, especially about what to wear. Some people have advised me to wear a smart, yet fashionable suit but i don't actually own a suit so i'm really stuck, ANY suggestions are gratefully received :)
So last weekend i had the afternoon off work. This doesn't happen very often so i took the chance to go shopping with Gracie! I was very naughty when it came to Topshop and splurged quite a bit - On the plus side i bought the dress i plan to wear to prom in the summer! But anyway, i decided to take out the Topshop store card. And i'm not encouraging anyone else to go out and loan from stores etc, but i think it is a really cool idea seeing as you get £15 worth of free make up. This is what i got...
Make Up Wipes
Nail Varnish Remover
Eyeliner
Eyeshadow in Silver Sand

Anyway, hope you're all well, i doubt i'll be blogging til the end of next week because of the exams. If any of you have exams i wish you all the best! xox

Ruby Red

(Headband: Little Fille, Dress: Ebay, Tights: HOH, Shoes: Ebay, Coat Topshop, Lipstick: Mac, Jewellery: Primark, JWLRY & LHC
Starting to feel a lot better and confident enough to do an outfit post now my facial swelling has significantly decreased! I didn't actually wear this outfit out anywhere today, but i'm going out for a work do on Friday and plan to wear it then. This outfit is a little bit out of my comfort zone, probably because i don't usually wear all of my hair out of my face. I feel like it makes me look boyish so let me know what you think. I do love the pop of colour though, and i feel like this outfit gives me a bit more personality too. My super suspender tights will also be making their debut on Friday - I love them so much and can't wait to team them with some high waisted shorts.

Instead of doing really anything today, i sat in my bed and watched Victoria's Secret Fashion show on repeat. I'm literally obsessed with the Aquatic Angel's section, all the pretty designs and attention to detail almost hypnotises me. Best 42 mins of my day! (I have just discovered youtube have taken the video down - OUTRAGED!)
Hopefully tomorrow i'll be getting back in to my normal routine which includes waking up stupidly early for sixth form and doing a boring bunch of revision for upcoming exams. (yay.)

Anyway, thanks for reading guys! I've recently hit the 50 follower mark which made me seriously happy! I don't want my blog to be about followers or what have you, but you guys make it so much more fun because i feel like people are actually listening to me!

Much Love, xoxo
