UCAS/University Update.

Sorry it's been so long since my last post, however my Textiles final piece has literally sucked up my entire life for the past couple of weeks, making it really hard to find time to post, and also to find things to post about! I did finish it today though and i'm soooo happy it's over with, plus i think it looks pretty good - let me know if you're interested in seeing it and i'll put up a few pictures.

I thought i'd do a bit about my UCAS/Uni application process so far today. Back in December, i applied through UCAS to do fashion buying and merchandising/marketing at London College of Fashion, Westminster University, De Monfort University and London Metropolitan University. The first to reply was De Monfort and I had my interview with them yesterday so now i'm waiting to hear back from them. I really love the uni itself because the facilities and campus look great and it has a friendly atmosphere, however im unsure that the course is suitable for me as it seems very design based. I then heard back from London Met with a conditional offer for 240 UCAS points. I think this is going to be just a safe last resort option as living in London would be way expensive! Westminster offered me an interview last month which went well and i now have a conditional from them which is BBC. I loved thier course but i'm not sure if the uni is really right for me. Finally, i'm still anticipating to hear back from LCF, they phoned today but i missed the call, AHHH!

If you follow me on twitter (@kfh34163) you'll know recently i've been panicking as to what i should wear to my university interviews. Now i know most people if their applying for medicine or law etc wear a smart clean suit, pretty boring right? But because i'm applying for Fashion Buying, i feel like it's really important to not only look smart, but fashionable.. hence my dilemma!
At Westminster, i found the applicants with me wore very smart clothing which at the same time was fashionable and on trend. A couple of girls wore jeans, but the majority wore a smart black skirt or trousers. Whereas at De Monfort yesterday, i again dressed fairly smartly and found the majority were in casual wear so i'm still feeling fairly confused! But below i've put together the sorts of outfits that i think are suitable for a Uni interview.

Blouse: New Look
Blazer: New Look
Bag: Ebay
Shoes: Ebay
Trousers: Next

This is exactly what i wore, except i wore my JWLRY rings instead and the blouse had sleeves and a pleated collar. I really love the blazer because it added a lovely block of colour to an otherwise monochrome outfit. I also added a big gold button on the blazer to add personality.
Anyway, i hope this helps. It's sort of my "What to wear to a uni interview guide!"

Hope you're all well, xxx

Sun Moon Stars Rain

Just wanted to share a few bits and bobs i've had my eye on this month!

1. Somebody buy me this shirt? Honestly, pay day can't come fast enough for this beauty! I've seen a few youtubers wearing it and i think it looks gorgeous. I love the pleats on the back aswell, it makes it really unique and i'm really in to crosses at the moment. This is £30 from Zolando (Reverse is the brand) who i've never bought from before.. Anyone had any Zolando experiences before?
2. Originally i asked my dad for the Lipsy dippy hem skirt for Christmas in like a baby pink, but when he went shopping they'd sold out! I've been really gutted ever since and looking for alternatives. Although this is a dress rather that a skirt, i just love the hem! This one is £45 from Love (bit steep if you ask me).
3. I've never tried collar tips before, but i really want to, and i love these cute ones from Regal Rose. I just like the idea of the detailing they would provide to a simple white sheer blouse. They're in the sale at the moment for £12.
4. This one is more of a necessity rather than a wish! My leggings have holes in them and are too old and baggy now, plus i really want some thicker, panelled leggings.. the type that don't show of your bum too much! I've gone for these in petite because i have such small legs! They are £28 from Topshop.
5. I've also been wanting some shorts recently, but some with a bit of personality, because i don't own a proper good pair of shorts! I really want some high waisted ones to wear with my suspender tights so i'm on the lookout on ebay for some. If anyone can point me in a good direction i'd be sooo grateful! But i also love these which are £34 from Topshop.
6. Finally, this is another piece i may have to indulge in the second payday hits. I absolutely adore this skirt! I look at it nearly everyday, then check my bank balance to see if there's anyway i can buy it! I guess it's the studs thing, i'm really into that at the moment. Anyway this is $38 from Romwe (Again, never ordered from them, any good?) also if you sign up to their newsletter you get 20% off... tempting!

I love reading wishlist posts, so if you've been lusting over anything recently, leave a comment & link down below! Much love xox

Weekend Wishes

Well it's finally pay day again! And this is what I have my eye on this weekend..

1. This leather bralet tail dress from yayer <3 I've had lots of Ooohs and Ahhs about the bralet i had from yayer (you can see this here) because their products are just so unique and beautiful. I've had my eye on this dress for a while now and it's not really too expensive either - especially as their packages come in pretty gold foil! My only worry is, is it too short at the front?

2. These cute boots may go well with the dress actually? Now that winters on it's way i'm looking for a pair like these to wear to parties, sadly my pretty new wedges will have to wait until next summer. Saying that though i could be wrong due to this AMAZING Indian summer we seem to be having in the UK at the moment! Loving it! Anyway, i really love the cut out detailing on these boots, it makes them more unique to the standards ones along with the scalloped edging which seems to be quite popular at the moment. You can find them from new look here. It's 20% off for students at the moment and i have £20 vouchers from my birthday.. what do you guys think? Should i go for it?

3. Because of my vouchers i have been spending quite a bit of time on the new look website rooting around for some good buys. I came across this adorable hearts cut out belt here which is such a cute and flirty alternative to my woven belts that I'm wearing at the moment. You can get it in a range of colours too online but i prefer the dark red.

4. I seem to have developed this massive love for opal recently. I love how the stone is so shimmery, it reminds me of the stars. The description of these on Regal Rose actually says that they're "a tiny piece of the galaxy." I just think they're so cute. Check out Regal Rose if you haven't already.

5. I need this eye primer! I've been using a standard cheap white eye shadow as a base for my eye make up, but it doesn't work as well as the real thing so i may have to fork out £16.50 for this lemonaid eyelid primer by benefit, they're such a quality brand as you probably all know. This would probably last way longer that eye shadow too, I don't know about you but mine runs down really quickly.

6. Stags are becoming pretty kitsch at the moment aren't they! I have to admit, i am a sucker for the cute design of these earrings. They're so cheap as well at £2.99!

7. I know everyone's been talking about the rise in prices at Topshop right now which is slightly putting me off even looking at their website right now, but i can't help commenting on this nautical styled cropped blouse. It looks like you'd be able to wear it with pretty much everything and the ribbon detailing is adorable. If only they could lower their prices!

8. The final thing on my wishlist this week is Bobbi Brown's face base. I was given a small pot of this when i bought their creamy lip colour in crystal pink (here). But i ran out of the face base a couple of days ago. It worked so well and smelt absolutely gorgeous! I know it's a bit pricey but honestly, it is so moisturising but it doesn't leave skin feeling greasy at all, and it kept my make up on all day. I would honestly recommend this product to anyone. I want some more!

What's on your wishlist this payday? Hope everyone's well and enjoying the lovely weather!
Much love, xxxxx
