Holy Connections

This is quite a different post for me because I thought i'd share some of my personal work with you. I've seen a few of Lily's posts where she shares her textile projects, so I thought i'd do the same and see how it goes. (Let me know what you think?)
Ok, as most of you probably know, one of my classes at A-level is textiles, and i have to say, it is by far my favourite subject! As most of you also probably know, a couple of months ago i visited Barcelona and this was actually a part of my textiles course. After the trip we were expected to produce a piece and this was my final outcome.
In my piece i've focused on the use of connections and different techniques that avoid the use of a needle and thread which is why I named this piece, "Holy Connections." "Holy" because of all the religious imagery and architecture that surrounds Barcelona. Also the colour scheme is inspired by a beautiful Barcelona sunset.
My piece is currently being exhibited with the rest of the groups work in a local arts centre where it is for sale at £75. (Far too expensive in my opinion!)
Please let me know what you think and if you have any questions, i'd love to answer them :)

Much love xxxx
